QA for Gaming micro-credentials. These are short courses that help you learn skills to test video games – just like a professional game tester.
A micro-credential is like a small, bite-sized course. Each one teaches you specific skills you need to test games, find bugs, and give clear feedback. There are different levels – like playing a game – and each one builds on the last.
You start as a Gameplay Tester. You learn to playtest games and report problems.
Learn how to write test cases and create Test Plans for games
You set yourself up as a Freelance Game Tester, conducting tests and helping others.
A student will progress by completing challenges. Challenges are real tasks, like testing a game or writing a report. When you finish a challenge, you show your work to your trainer. When you complete all the tasks assigned to the challenge, you progress to the next level!
Each micro-credential is mapped to existing industry recognised skills and qualifications. This means when you complete a micro-credential, you’re learning skills that employers in the game industry need.
These micro-credentials also help you step into bigger qualifications if you want to study further or work in other parts of game development.
Through industry lead consultation, we have curated a series of micro-credentials that are used to train QA testers for your games.
Each of our testers has come through the new Youth Options Raising the Game program.
